If you have a small bathroom, You are most likely challenged on how you can maximize the tiny space. Having this small space doesn’t mean you have to compromise storage. There are many ways on how you can make your bathroom clutter-free and organized. Here are our spacing saving Small Bathroom Tips:
Choose Pocket or Sliding Door
Switch from traditional bathroom swing door to pocket door. Pocket door eliminates the swing space of the door and can make way for a hanging cabinet or storage!
Make sure you have enough pocket space on your wall. If not, you can always install a barn or sliding door. Measure the area first then ask your door supplier about the space.
Install Larger Mirrors
In the small spaces like your bathroom, having a large mirror across the wall instead of just above the vanity can give an illusion of a larger space. It also functions where two persons can use a mirror at once. Every inch helps!
Use Corner Sink or Wall Mount Sink

If you have an area smaller than 4 feet in width, you might want to consider installing a corner sink. Occupy this dead space that isn’t being used and open more room for movement space. Also, you can install a wall mount sink rather than a counter top sink where you can also put a storage box or a shelf under it for your toiletries.
No Bathtubs
You might have to compromise bath tub for extra space. Instead, you can opt for a corner shower or a seamless shower in your bathroom. Remember that extra space for movement is a luxury and can give you a comfortable bathroom use.
You can also install clear glass shower enclosure to open up the space.
Use Light Coloured Paint
Select soft tones of off-white paint, blues or greens, and always remember that brighter rooms look bigger and more inviting. On the other hand, darker paint makes the room smaller with the absence of light. If you choose to paint dark, use gloss or semi gloss finish paint to reflect light and it helps to make your bathroom look larger.
Install Diagonal Tiles
This will give an illusion that your bathroom is larger. You may also use large tiles with thin grout to give the appearance or illusion of more square footage in the bathroom.
Install Floating Shelves or Cabinets
Do not be afraid to use your plain walls for floating cabinets for your storage instead of putting up artworks and other decors. Every free space is an opportunity for extra storage!
To avoid closed-in feeling with all the shelving, install them at eye-level and narrow open shelves that are the same color as the walls. Deeper Shelves are installed on the higher part of the wall.
